Bandai dropped a third trailer for Extra Booster: ONE PIECE Heroines Edition vol. 2 [EB-05]. No prices exist yet, so the EB back catalogue sets the expectations.

Card number OP18-003, a Sea Cat, made the rounds on r/ONEPIECETCG this weekend as part of the steady pre-release drip for the next main booster. Reveal season generates plenty of opinions and, so far, exactly zero price data. OP18 sits two months ahead of release on our clock, and the set page reflects that: MSRP is on file, and nearly nothing else is.

OP18: the 3.3x that has not been tested

There is no secondary box quote for OP18 yet, which means there is no premium to MSRP, no annualized return, and no 90-day line to read. What we do carry is an implied MSRP multiple of 3.3 and a cost per pack of $16.51, both of which are expectations rather than transactions.

That distinction matters more in One Piece than in most TCGs. Pre-release multiples are set by reveal hype, and reveal hype is currently being generated by cards like OP18-003 that nobody has cast yet, let alone sleeved into a regional deck.

Inside the box

Box EV is a function of single prices, and OP18 has no single prices, so the ratio field is empty. For scale, here is what the sets with actual tape look like on our EV page:

Set Box market Rip EV Ratio
OP15 $257.96 $193 0.75
OP11 $604.58 $433 0.72
OP14 $260.42 $179 0.69
PRB02 $379.36 $246 0.65
OP13 $449.04 $273 0.61

Every one of those ratios is below 1.00, and that is the design, not a defect. The expected value of the singles inside a sealed box is always less than the box, because the spread is what pays the printer, the distributor and the shop. OP15 at 0.75 is the friendliest number on the board, and it still returns less than the cost of entry on average.

OP18's ratio will land somewhere on that spectrum the moment its alternate arts and manga rares get bid. Until then, any claim about whether the set is worth ripping is vibes with a decimal point attached.

The graded side

PSA population for OP18 is 0. Not low, not thin: zero, because the cards do not exist in graders' hands. Gem rate, graded premium and estimated boxes opened are all blank for the same reason, so the destruction model has nothing to chew on yet.

In the meantime, the money this week went to established alt arts. Rob Lucci (Alternate Art) ran 207% over seven days to $20.57, and Trafalgar Law - OP14-001 (Alternate Art) added 65.8% to $36.52. Pre-release sets do not move markets. Meta decks do.

Long-term read

Our Long-Term Score for OP18 is 0 out of 10, labelled Unproven. That is not a bearish call, it is an information vacuum: the score is built from realized returns, graded scarcity and opened supply, and OP18 has none of the three. Sets do not earn a grade by being revealed.

What changes it: a real box quote, a top-card ladder, and the first few thousand packs through the screener. Sea Cat will get its price tag soon enough. It does not have one today.
