What surfaced
A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG has turned the latest OP17 reveal into a roster question. With Aramaki now confirmed as part of the set, posters are asking whether Issho still makes the cut for OP17 or gets held back for a future wave built around Sengoku support. The same thread asks the obvious follow-up: has anyone already rebuilt a Sengoku list with Aramaki slotted in.
None of this is official product news. It is speculation about a card that has not been shown, driven by the shape of the reveals so far. We treat it as community-surfaced sentiment, not a release calendar.
The set the argument is about
Whatever Issho does or does not do, OP17 is the vehicle. That vehicle is currently expensive relative to what it contains.
| Set | Box market | Box EV | EV ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| OP17 | $426.64 | $260 | 0.61 |
| OP15 | $250.34 | $232 | 0.93 |
| OP14 | $269.61 | $197 | 0.73 |
| PRB02 | $394.64 | $282 | 0.71 |
| OP16 | $208.02 | $135 | 0.65 |
At 0.61, OP17 returns less per dollar of box than every set on our EV leaderboard. OP15 at 0.93 is the outlier at the top. The gap is the standard preorder pattern: sealed prices lead the singles market before the print settles, and reveal-cycle hype widens it. A hypothetical Issho chase card does not fix a 0.61 ratio on its own; it moves EV only to the extent the singles market pays up for it after release.
Where the money actually moved this week
The live tape is busy in places that have nothing to do with OP17. Monkey.D.Luffy (033) is up 116 percent on the week to $69.38, the largest seven-day gainer in our set. Trafalgar Law (027) added 37.5 percent to $79.06, and Nami (033) gained 54.8 percent to $50.17.
The downside is concentrated in the Round 1 promo group. Monkey.D.Luffy (Round 1 Promo) fell 52.5 percent to $244.75, Nami (Round 1 Promo) dropped 51.5 percent to $116.81, and Nico Robin (Round 1 Promo) lost 59.1 percent to $76.74. When four promos from the same distribution all reprice by more than 40 percent in a week, that is supply arriving, not demand leaving.
At the high end, Tony Tony.Chopper (SP) rose 10.9 percent to $3,165.98 and Marshall.D.Teach (Manga) added 14.3 percent to $1,999.99. Portgas.D.Ace (Super Alternate Art) went the other way, down 11.8 percent to $1,085.64.
The read
Deck-archetype speculation rarely prices anything before a reveal. What prices is confirmation: a printed card, a rarity, and a set list. Until Issho is either in OP17 or clearly not, the only tradeable number attached to this discussion is the sealed one, and that number says OP17 is being paid for on anticipation.
The Terminal take
OP17 sealed at $426.64 against $260 of EV is the widest gap on our board, and it is a preorder gap, not a scarcity gap. If Issho does show up in the set, expect the singles side to absorb the hype first and the 0.61 ratio to move only after the print is in hands. Until then, this is a rumor with a price tag attached to the box, not to the card.
