A competitive primer out of Australia walked through Red Ace in the current no-Mihawk OP17 format, the first serious public look at how the deck rebuilds after the ban list landed. The singles market had already voted: the banned Dracule Mihawk - OP14-020 (Alternate Art) is the week's worst performer, down 54.2% to $29.42. Sealed OP17, one month old, is the other side of that trade.
> $291.11 · OP17 box market price, 2.4 times its MSRP
Against a $119.76 MSRP, that box works out to $12.13 per pack. The three-month annualized trend on the set is -41%, which is the normal shape for a freshly released product as preorder scarcity drains out of the channel. For contrast, OP16 at four months old is running a +35% three-month figure and sits 769% above MSRP on the same annualized basis.
Inside the box
Rip EV on OP17 is $170 against that $291.11 box, an EV ratio of 0.58. Every sealed product in this game is negative EV by design, so a ratio under 1 is the expected state of the world, not a red flag. What matters is the gap relative to peers: the current leaders on our EV page run from OP15 at 0.76 down to OP13 at 0.62, so OP17 is currently ripping below the top of the board. OP16 is thinner still at 0.47, with $107 of EV against a $225.75 box.
The chase structure is top-heavy, which is why the ratio behaves the way it does.
| Card | Number | Price |

The playable end of the set is doing its own thing. Shanks (020) (Alternate Art) is up 97.5% on the week to $51.16 and Rocks.D.Xebec (118) (Alternate Art) is up 86.6% to $66.06. Both rank inside this week's five largest gainers, which is what a format still sorting itself out looks like in the tape.
