A reddit plea for Gunko support is really a pricing question: with no spoilers, the market has nothing to price, so capital keeps rotating through promos and box EV.
Spoiler vacuums do not stop money, they redirect it
A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG this week did what the community does roughly once a product cycle: asked Bandai, loudly and without much dignity, for Gunko support spoilers. No announcement, no preview, no date. Just demand with nowhere to go. That is a market condition, not a complaint, and this week's tape shows exactly where the money went instead.
> $426 · OP11 box EV against a $560.01 market price
The cards it touches
Directly, nothing. There is no Gunko print in our dataset to quote, which is precisely the point of the thread. When a requested archetype has no cards, speculation cannot anchor to a line on a chart, so it migrates to whatever does have one.
The card above is Monkey.D.Luffy (118) at $23.96, up 50.5% on the week and the strongest gainer on the board. Its 90-day shape is the opposite of a spoiler trade: it is a known quantity that reprice d on known information. Behind it, Sugar (003) (Parallel) at $39.63 is up 48.1%, and the OP13 Luffy has a reprint sibling, Monkey.D.Luffy - EB02-061 (Reprint), at $21.97 and up 44%.
The tape this week
The downside was concentrated and ugly, and it was all promo. Five seaking-severity moves, every one of them a tournament or event print.
That is thin-float merchandise reverting after event supply hits, not a referendum on any archetype. Note the symmetry: the gainers are playables, the losers are trophies. Capital in a spoiler drought prefers things that can be sideboarded.
Sealed is where the waiting happens
With nothing new to chase, sealed carries the hold. OP11 leads expected value at a 0.76 ratio, the best on the board, followed by OP14 at 0.74 on a $262.17 box and OP15 at 0.71 on a $255.42 box. PRB02 sits at 0.67 and EB03 at 0.60. Full breakdowns live on the EV page.
None of those ratios cross 1.0, which is normal and worth repeating: box EV is a measure of how much of a box's cost the singles recover, not a promise.
The read
The Gunko request is a sentiment indicator dressed as a meme. It tells you the player base has an archetype-shaped hole and no information to fill it, and that in the absence of a spoiler the week's volatility defaults to promo mean reversion and a handful of Luffy prints doing 37.9% to 50.5%.
When Bandai does spoil, the first thing to watch is not the new card. It is whether any of this week's gainers hold their new level once there is something else to price.
