What happened

A player posted a Green Zoro decklist to r/ONEPIECETCG on August 15, asking for feedback on the build in the current OP16.5 environment. The poster's stated reason for sticking with the leader was straightforward: they already own an alternate art copy and feel locked in.

That is a familiar sequence in this hobby. The card comes first, the archetype loyalty follows, and the deck gets tuned around a sunk cost. It is also a useful prompt to check what the OP16 secondary market is actually pricing right now, because the answer is not the green cards.

Where OP16 money is concentrated

The top of the OP16 chart is manga art, and it is expensive. Three cards from the set clear four figures on our data as of August 15.

Note the rarity column. Two of the three are printed at R, which tells you the premium is entirely about the manga treatment and the pull rate, not the card's slot in a competitive list. Admirals are also not a green concern.

The seven-day movers are Whitebeard and Ace

If there is momentum inside OP16 this week, it is running through the black and Ace-adjacent alt arts, not the green shell the thread is asking about.

Edward.Newgate (Alternate Art) leads all gainers at $42.55, up 83.9% over seven days. Portgas.D.Ace (001) (Alternate Art) sits at $69.57, up 67.4%, with Portgas.D.Ace (118) (Alternate Art) at $41.52, up 51.3%. Vista (TR) rounds out the OP16 contingent at $32.26, up 50.8%.

Four of the five largest weekly gainers on the board come from one set. That is what a live, contested format looks like when players chase a specific archetype's staples, and it is worth noting that green Zoro pieces are not on that list.

The sealed math

Anyone tempted to crack packs to assemble the deck should look at the ratio first. An OP16 box trades at $210.17 against expected value of $139, an EV ratio of 0.66. You are paying roughly a third above what the contents return on average.

OP16 is not an outlier there. Only OP17 currently prints a ratio above 1.0 on our board, at 3.09 with $331.80 boxes against $1,024 of EV. OP15 is 0.80, OP14 is 0.74. Full table lives on the EV page.

The Terminal take

The thread is a deckbuilding question, but the data underneath it is a segmentation story: OP16's four-figure cards are manga art Admirals, its fastest movers are Whitebeard and Ace alt arts, and the green staples a Zoro pilot needs are not currently on either list. Cheap access to a leader you already own is a real advantage when the rest of the set's demand is pointed elsewhere. Singles at a 0.66 box EV ratio remain the arithmetically cleaner route to a 50-card list than sealed product.
