Collectors on r/ONEPIECETCG spent the weekend doing deck math rather than price math: a promo Nami has been confirmed legal under the EB05 card pool, nudging the playable East Blue roster up by one and reopening the question of whether the archetype can do anything in the current meta. The trading side of that question is harder, because EB05 has no market yet. The box carries an MSRP of $119.76 and an implied cost per pack of $15.13, and that is the entire dataset.

EB05 and the number that does not exist yet

There is no box market price, no expected value, no three month or one year return. The set sits at negative one months since release, which is our way of saying the product has not landed. The only multiple on file is a listed 3 against MSRP, and until sealed actually trades that figure is a placeholder rather than a print.

What the Nami ruling does is add a legality catalyst to a set whose singles cannot be priced. Demand from a deckbuilding angle tends to show up first in older East Blue singles and promos, not in the unreleased box. That is where the chart above is blank and the rest of the tape is not.

Inside the box

Every booster box is negative EV by design. The useful question is how negative. Across the sets we can actually measure, the leaders sit well under parity, and EB03, the closest structural comparison to what EB05 will be, is the weakest of the group.

Set Box market Rip EV Ratio
OP11 $566.03 $428 0.76
OP15 $255.87 $189 0.74
OP14 $268.35 $182 0.68
PRB02 $377.69 $246 0.65
EB03 $324.34 $188 0.58

A 0.58 ratio means a ripper recovers roughly fifty eight cents of singles value per dollar of box. Extra Booster products historically price thin at the top end and deep in the middle, which is exactly the shape that produces a soft ratio. Full board on the EV page.

The graded side

PSA population for EB05 is zero. No gem rate, no graded premium, no estimate of boxes opened, because none have been. Anyone pricing a hypothetical EB05 slab right now is pricing a hypothesis.

For reference on where Extra Booster chase cards can actually land, Marco (SP) out of EB02 sits at $1,500 after a 45% move, and Charlotte Flampe (SP) prints $47.94 after rising 42.2%. That is the spread an EB set can produce, from four figures to under fifty dollars, and it is why pre release box math is guesswork.

Long-term read

EB05 scores 0 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score, labelled Unproven. That is not a judgment on the set, it is an absence of inputs: no release history, no population data, no realized return against MSRP. The score will move the moment sealed trades and the first slabs register.

Meanwhile the week's actual money moved elsewhere. Monkey.D.Luffy (119) is up 128.8% to $21.94, with the PRB01 reprint up 110.6% to $20.66. On the other side, Usopp (3-on-3 Cup) [Participant] shed 36.3% to $140.20. Track the rest on the screener and the destruction view.
