EB05 and the number zero

An EB05 DON!! card art made the rounds this week, surfaced on r/ONEPIECETCG out of Bandai's own pre-release promotion. That is the whole event: one art, no list, no pull rates. Our file on EB05 carries an MSRP of $119.76, a release counter sitting at minus one month, and null in every column that matters to a pricing desk.

> $119.76 · EB05 box MSRP, the only hard price on file

There is no box market price yet, no three-month CAGR, no one-year CAGR, and no return measured from MSRP. Writing anything else about EB05's trajectory would be fiction. The chart above has nothing to plot for this set because the set does not exist in the secondary market yet.

Inside the box

The one derived figure we do carry is a cost per pack of $15.06, which assumes the MSRP multiple of 3 that the preorder market has been applying to extra booster product. No rip EV exists because no singles have prices. Until cards trade, expected value is a blank, not a zero.

For context on where EV lands once a set is live, here is the current leaderboard. Note that every single one sits below 1.00, because sealed product is priced to lose on average and the ratio only tells you how gently.

Set Box market Rip EV EV ratio
OP11 $566.03 $429 0.76
OP15 $256.59 $184 0.72
OP14 $267.77 $182 0.68
PRB02 $377.69 $245 0.65
EB03 $323.19 $187 0.58

EB03 is the most useful comparison on that list, and it is the worst of the five at 0.58 against a $323.19 box. Extra boosters tend to concentrate value in a short chase list, which makes the ratio fragile. Full table lives on the EV page.

The graded side

PSA population for EB05 is 0. Gem rate, graded premium and estimated boxes opened are all null, which is what you would expect for a product nobody can open. There is no slab arbitrage to model here and no population curve to front-run.

The nearest read on how extra booster chases behave at the top end is Marco (SP) from EB02, printed at $1,500 after a 45% move. That is the tail outcome, not the base case, and it took an entire set cycle to get there.

Long-term read

EB05 scores 0 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score, labelled Unproven. That is a data-availability score, not a verdict. Months since release, realized CAGR, graded population and EV all feed the model, and EB05 supplies none of them.

Meanwhile the DON!! category itself is doing work elsewhere on the board. DON!! Card (Alternate Art) (Luffy and Loki) (Gold) from OP17 is this week's top gainer at $36.29, up 65.6%. Other seaking-grade moves include Stick-Stickem Meteora at $24.53 on 63.5% and Silvers Rayleigh (Alternate Art) at $26.95 on 47.5%, while Monkey.D.Luffy (4th Anniversary) (Winner) gave back 31.2% to $184.20.

That is the live tape. EB05 joins it later. Watch the screener when it does.
