EB04 Hits Korea and the Terminal Still Shows No Tape

A community thread on EB04's meta puts the spotlight on a set our sealed data has not priced yet, so the comparables do the talking.

A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG this week noted that Borsalino went live in Korea and that a particular EB04 combo came through the latest ban list untouched, which turned into a wider argument about the ugliest deck of that format. Competitive chatter usually drags price data behind it. In this case there is nothing to drag: EB04 carries no box market price, no rip EV, no MSRP multiple and no graded population on our side.

EB04 in Korea, against EB02's $756.37 shadow

EB04 is a blank row. Box market, EV ratio, cost per pack, months since release, long term score: all empty. That is what a staggered regional rollout looks like on a USD-denominated tape, where listings have to exist in volume before anything prints.

So the honest read is a comparables read. The extra booster line already has a reference point in EB02, and that reference point is expensive relative to every mainline set we track.

Inside the box

Every sealed product carries negative expected value by construction. The ratio tells you how hard the house edge bites, not whether a box is "good".

Set Box market Rip EV Ratio
OP11 $548.57 $421 0.77
OP14 $258.76 $193 0.74
OP15 $253.96 $180 0.71
PRB02 $375.21 $261 0.69
EB02 $756.37 $463 0.61

EB02 sits at the bottom of that list at 0.61, meaning the average rip returns the least against its own sticker. Extra boosters price on chase density, and chase density is exactly what gets hoarded rather than resold. The full board lives on the EV page.

The graded side

No population or gem rate exists for EB04 yet, so the EB-family grading story is still an EB02 story, and it is a violent one. Tony Tony.Chopper (SP) printed $6,835.94 after a 33.2% week, the single largest absolute move on this week's board.

The other side of the same set moved the opposite way. Rob Lucci (SP) sits at $750 after a 33.3% drawdown. Two cards from the same product, same week, mirrored percentages. Thin markets do that, and EB04 singles will inherit the same thinness when they start printing.

Long-term read

Without a long term score for EB04, the useful signal is how older extra boosters behave when a format conversation revives them. Kouzuki Hiyori (Alternate Art) from EB01 ran 121.5% over seven days to $39.16, and our whale screen logged the same card at a 137.5% move. Alt arts in small sets are the first thing to spike and the first thing to gap back.

Promos are doing the inverse. Kouzuki Oden (Regionals Finalist Card Set 26-27 Vol.2) is down 24.8% to $107.59, and Trafalgar Law (CS 26-27 Event Pack) fell 32.9% to $46.27. Event-distribution supply keeps arriving; set supply does not.

For EB04 the practical answer is patience. Until box listings and single sales accumulate, the chart above has nothing to plot, and ban list arguments on Reddit stay arguments. Run the comparables through the screener if you want the rest of the extra booster shelf side by side.
