Collectors on Reddit are watching the Bandai app for OP18 release event sign-ups. The sealed tape says the set is already priced at a heavy premium.

OP18 and the 2.6x problem

A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG this week asked a simple logistics question: what time do OP18 release event sign-ups open in the Bandai TCG app on Friday. No one in the thread had a confirmed hour, which is itself a familiar pattern for release weekend scheduling. The set lands in English on Nov 20, 2026, at $4.99 a pack and $119.76 for a 24-pack box, and the secondary market has already decided it wants more than that.

> $306.83 · current sealed box price for OP18 before release

That is 2.6 times MSRP on a product that has not legally hit shelves. Per-pack, the market is asking $12.78 against a $4.99 sticker. The 3-month annualized figure on OP18 is -82%, which at this stage is less a trend than the noise of a pre-release listing book thinning out as supply gets closer. The chart above is a pre-order chart, not a price history, and should be read accordingly.

Inside the box

Modelled rip value comes in at $260 against that sealed price, an EV ratio of 0.85. Every sealed box in this game is negative EV by design, so a ratio under 1 is the normal state of the world, not a red flag. What matters is the gap: right now you pay roughly $47 above modelled contents for the privilege of opening it yourself.

The singles board is thin, as you would expect a fortnight out. Nico Robin is the only card clearing $20.

Card No. Price
Nico Robin OP18-031 $29.99
Saint Gunko OP18-060 $9.99
Monkey.D.Luffy (022) OP18-022 $9.99
Monkey.D.Luffy (016) OP18-016 $4.99
Shark Submerge 3 OP18-076 $3.99

Saint Gunko and Monkey.D.Luffy (022) are both pinned at $9.99 with zero movement over seven and thirty days, which is what a leader card looks like when nobody has a real market yet. All three headline cards sit exactly at their all-time highs, because those highs are also their only recorded prices.

The graded side

There is nothing here. PSA population on OP18 is 0 across the board, gem rate is unrecorded, and there is no graded premium multiple to quote because no copies exist in slabs. Estimated boxes opened: also nothing. The set is at negative one months since release.

That blank slate is the entire reason release events matter commercially. The first weekend of organized play is when boxes get cracked in volume, when the first submissions queue up, and when the singles above start trading against actual supply instead of pre-order optimism.

Long-term read

Our Long-Term Score for OP18 is 0 out of 10, labelled Unproven. That is the mechanical result of having no grading data, no post-release price history and no completed EV cycle to measure against. It is not a verdict on the set, it is an admission that the inputs do not exist yet.

For comparison, EB05 currently runs an EV ratio of 1.32 on a $255.81 box, the only positive-EV set on our board, while OP17 sits at 0.89. Those are sets with a trading record behind them. OP18 gets its record starting Friday. Release dates, MSRP and live sealed quotes sit on our pre-orders page, and the full EV table is at /ev.
