GameStop's capped preorder for The Dominance of God booster packs surfaced on Reddit, and OP18's presale box market is already running far ahead of sticker price.
OP18 at 3.2x MSRP before anyone rips a box
A GameStop listing for The Dominance of God booster packs, limited to five per customer and priced above sticker, surfaced on r/ONEPIECETCG this week. The retail markup is the smaller story. In the presale market, a sealed OP18 box is bid at $382.20 against an MSRP of $119.76, a multiple of 3.2 on a product that is still roughly two months from release.
> $15.92 "the implied cost of a single OP18 pack at current box bids
There is no annualized return to quote here, because there is no history. OP18 has not shipped, so the chart above is a presale tape built on preorder bids and a thin set of early singles, not on settled secondary trading. Every figure in this piece should be read as a quote on an unopened product.
Inside the box
Our EV model puts the expected singles value of one OP18 box at $260 against that $382.20 market price, an EV ratio of 0.68. Worth repeating the standing caveat: every sealed box is negative EV by design, and a ratio under 1 is the normal state of the world. The distributor, the printer and the retailer all have to eat before the ripper does.
For context, the current leaders on our EV board sit at 0.75 for OP15 and 0.73 for OP11. OP18 is level with OP14 at 0.68, which is a respectable mid-pack reading for a set with almost no price discovery behind it.
The two tracked singles so far:
Both are sitting at their all-time highs, which is trivially true when a card has existed for days. Nico Robin has moved 0% over seven days, the signature flatline of a presale listing that nobody is actively trading yet.
The graded side
PSA population for OP18 is 0. There is no gem rate, no graded premium multiple, and no estimated box count opened, because no product exists in collector hands. That is not a red flag, it is arithmetic.
What it does mean is that the usual supply checks are unavailable. When a set has been out for six months, our destruction tracker gives a read on how much sealed inventory has been converted into singles. For OP18 the denominator is still zero, so anyone pricing this box is pricing expectation alone.
Long-term read
OP18 scores 0 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score, labelled Unproven. That label does the work: the model needs realized price history, grading population and sealed attrition to produce anything else, and OP18 has none of the three. A zero here is an absence of evidence, not evidence of weakness.
The GameStop cap at five packs is the detail worth filing away. Per-customer limits on a big-box preorder usually signal allocation pressure rather than confidence in deep supply, and above-MSRP retail pricing on singles packs tells you the same thing the $382.20 box quote does. The gap between that number and the $260 EV estimate is what the market is currently charging for the privilege of going first.
When product actually ships, the interesting question is how fast the presale premium compresses toward the EV line. Until then, the screener will carry the OP18 rows as they populate.
