A Reddit thread asking whether Rocks survives the OP18 and EB05 metas lands on two sets with no track record and sealed prices well above MSRP.
A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG this week asked a simple competitive question: does Rocks still have a seat at the table once OP18 and EB05 reshape the format, with Buggy picking up support and Saint Gunko still an unknown quantity. The answer from the market side is less about matchups and more about pricing. Both sets are trading like proven product while carrying zero history.

OP18 and the 2.9x problem
OP18 boxes are marked at $351.93 against an MSRP of $119.76, a multiple of 2.9. English release is dated Nov 20, 2026, which puts months since release at -1: the set is still ahead of its own launch. There is no CAGR to quote because there is no history to compute it from.
EB05 sits a notch lower at $326.41, or 2.7x the same $119.76 MSRP, with zero months since release. Per-pack cost works out to $14.66 for OP18 and $13.60 for EB05, against a $4.99 sticker. If you want the release calendar and live sealed marks in one place, that is the pre-orders page.
Inside the box
Rip EV for OP18 is $260 against that $351.93 box price, an ev_ratio of 0.74. EB05 runs $313 of EV on a $326.41 box, a ratio of 0.96. Every box is negative EV by design, so a ratio under 1 is the normal state of the world, not a red flag. The distance between 0.74 and 0.96 is the interesting part: EB05's value is spread across four cards at or near $24.99, while OP18 concentrates in one.
The two leaders named in the thread, Gunko and Monkey.D.Luffy (022), both sit at $9.99 with flat 7-day prints. That is leader pricing before anyone has had to beat Rocks with them. Chase SRs carry the box; leaders rarely do until a results sheet says otherwise.
The graded side
There is nothing here, and that is the honest reading. PSA population for both OP18 and EB05 is 0. No gem rate, no graded premium multiple, no estimate of boxes already opened. The chart above has no grading overlay to show because no copies have been slabbed and reported.
That matters for the Rocks question only indirectly. A set with zero pop total is a set where every supply assumption is a guess, and guesses are what move preorder sealed from MSRP to 2.9x.
Long-term read
Both sets score 0 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score, labelled Unproven. That is not a judgment on the cards; it is the mechanical result of having no release history, no graded population and no realized return to measure. Scores move once there is tape.
For contrast, the current box EV leaders are headed by OP11 at a 0.76 ratio on a $555.45 box and OP14 at 0.74 on $259.37. Full table on the EV page. Whether Rocks folds to Buggy support is a matchup question that will resolve at tables; whether $351.93 holds is a question that resolves on the chart above.
