A Buggy deckbuilding thread on r/ONEPIECETCG pulled attention back to OP09, a 22-month-old set trading at 5.9 times its original box MSRP.
OP09, the set that turned $107.76 into $638.31
A deckbuilding writeup for an OP09 Buggy list surfaced on r/ONEPIECETCG this week, posted by a self-described former Rocks player who plans to stick with the deck through the OP18 release. Deck content is not our beat, but the set it leans on is. OP09 sealed sits at $638.31 a box against a $107.76 MSRP, a 5.9x multiple, which works out to 159% annualized from retail across 22 months on shelves.

cdot the manga Buggy that anchors OP09's fifth slot
The one-year line is the louder one: 195% annualized. The three-month line is negative 17%, so the chart above is not a clean staircase. A set this far from print does most of its moving in bursts, and the recent burst has gone the other way.
Inside the box
Rip EV on OP09 is $224 against that $638.31 sticker, an EV ratio of 0.35. Every sealed product is negative EV by design, so a sub-1 ratio is the normal state of the world. What 0.35 tells you is that OP09 boxes are priced as collectibles rather than as lottery tickets: you are paying $26.60 a pack for the privilege of opening a 22-month-old product. For comparison, the current EV leaderboard tops out at 0.77.
The manga-art run carries the entire set. Roger is flat over both seven and 30 days, as are Luffy and Teach, which is what a mature chase tier usually looks like between tournament catalysts.
The graded side
PSA has registered 52,488 OP09 cards with an 88% gem rate, and graded copies carry a 1.9x premium to raw across the set. Back that population out and roughly 333,257 boxes have been opened, a number you can sanity-check on the destruction page.
The per-card spreads vary more than the set average suggests. Roger's PSA 10 marks at $16,358.20, a 3x multiple on raw. Luffy OP09-119 runs 1.8x with 1,215 graded and an 86% gem rate. Teach is the tightest at 1.2x on 1,077 submissions and 87% gems, which is close to the point where the grading fee eats the spread.
Long-term read
Our Long-Term Score has OP09 at 8 out of 10, labelled Strong hold. The inputs doing the work: a 5.9x MSRP multiple that has held for the better part of two years, a high-ceiling manga chase tier, and a box count that stopped growing a long time ago. The drag is the negative three-month annualized figure and an EV ratio that gives sealed buyers very little cushion.
The OP18 comparison is instructive. That set lands Nov 20, 2026 at $119.76 a box MSRP, currently marking $350.76 with $260 of EV inside for a 0.74 ratio, and a Long-Term Score of 0, labelled Unproven. Fresh sets carry EV; old sets carry scarcity. OP09 has fully completed that trade. Release dates and live sealed pricing for the next set sit on our pre-orders page.
