EB05 Set Check: A Yamato List Surfaces Before Any Box Data Exists

A community Yamato deck list puts EB05 back in frame, but the set trades at 3.3 times its $119.76 MSRP with no EV, no pop and no history.

A Yamato build for EB05 made the rounds on r/ONEPIECETCG this weekend, framed around a six-Don turn that lands a Yamato blocker alongside Zoro, with the poster pitching anti-removal and classic configurations as the two branches. It is the kind of thread that normally moves singles. This one cannot, because EB05 has not released yet and our sheet shows a months-since-release figure of -1.

What the tape does show is a presale premium. EB05 carries an MSRP of $119.76 and is changing hands at a multiple of 3.3 against that figure. That is the entire price story right now: no box market print we trust, no expected value, no annualized return, just a multiple built on anticipation and a deck list or two.

Inside the box

Rip EV is the number that usually anchors these pieces, and for EB05 it does not exist yet. There are no confirmed chase cards with market prices, no box EV, and therefore no EV ratio. That blank is worth reading as information rather than an omission: nobody has opened enough of this product to establish what the contents are worth.

For calibration, look at the sets that do have EV. OP15 leads our board at a 0.76 ratio, with a box at $254.73 against $194 of expected contents. OP11 runs 0.72 on a $595.59 box, and OP14 sits at 0.69. Every one of those is negative EV, which is how sealed product is designed. The ratio is not a profit signal, it is a measure of how much of your box price the singles market currently gives back.

When EB05 does print an EV, the full board lives on the EV page, and the screener will carry the singles as they list.

The graded side

PSA population for EB05 is 0. Not thin, not early: zero. There is no gem rate, no graded premium multiple, and no estimate of boxes already opened, because none of those inputs can exist before product is in hands.

That matters for anyone pricing the Yamato package off the deck list. Graded comps are the slowest-moving part of a set's price structure, and they typically take months to establish a premium band. Until then, raw is the only market, and raw on an unreleased set is a presale quote. Our destruction tracker will start counting opened product once boxes actually circulate.

Long-term read

EB05 scores 0 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score and carries the label Unproven. That is not a judgment on the cards. It is arithmetic: the score is driven by realized price history, graded population, gem rate and EV stability, and EB05 has none of those. Every component input is either null or zero.

The contrast with this week's live movers is instructive. Gecko Moria (086) (Alternate Art) ran 120.4% to $20.06 and Shanks (020) (Alternate Art) added 97.5% to $51.16, both on real transaction flow. On the other side, Dracule Mihawk - OP14-020 (Alternate Art) gave back 54.2% to $29.42. Those are prices with a chart behind them.

EB05 does not have that yet. A six-Don Yamato line is a reason to watch the set. It is not yet a reason the data can measure.
