A collector posted to r/ONEPIECETCG this week asking a question that has no good answer: how do you find EB05 product at anything close to sticker price with roughly two weeks of lead time, when the local shop marks it up and online allocation is already spoken for. The market data does not soften the blow. EB05 boxes are changing hands at $353.98 against an MSRP of $119.76.

> 3x · the multiple EB05 box prices sit above MSRP

EB05 and the number 353.98

That is a 3x MSRP multiple on a set that is zero months past release. There is no annualized return to quote yet, because EB05 has no price history to annualize. What exists instead is a secondary market setting the clearing price at roughly triple what Bandai intended, which is exactly the condition the Reddit poster described from the other side of the counter.

Cost per pack works out to $14.75 at current box pricing. That is the real number anyone weighing "a few packs" should hold in their head, and it is the number scalper math is built on.

Inside the box

Expected rip value on an EB05 box sits at $150 against that $353.98 market price, an EV ratio of 0.42. Every sealed product in this game is negative EV by design, so a ratio below 1 is normal and not an indictment. What 0.42 does say is that EB05 is currently among the harsher ones, because the box price is scarcity-driven while the singles inside have barely had time to find a floor.

Card Number Rarity Price
Alvida EB05-021 SR $24.99
Luffy, Now's Your Chance EB05-008 C $4.99

Both of those sit at their all-time highs, which at zero months of history means they sit at their only recorded price. Alvida is the top tracked card in the set as it stands. Compare the EV ratio to the leaders on the EV page: OP11 runs 0.75 at a $566.03 box, OP15 0.72, OP14 0.71. EB05 is not in that conversation yet.

The graded side

PSA population for EB05 is 0. No gem rate, no graded premium multiple, no estimated boxes opened. That is the entire graded file, and it is a useful signal in its own way: nobody has submitted anything, because almost nothing has been opened, because almost nobody can find the product. The hunt described in that thread is the population number in narrative form.

When pop starts moving, the SR tier is where the first readings will show up, and the gap between raw and slabbed will become measurable. Until then the chart above is a short, flat line.

Long-term read

EB05 scores 0 out of 10 on the Long-Term Score, labeled Unproven. That is a function of missing inputs rather than a judgment: no 3-month CAGR, no 1-year CAGR, no CAGR from MSRP, zero graded population, zero months of elapsed history. The model has nothing to score.

For context on what a settled extra booster looks like, EB03 carries a 0.59 EV ratio on a $315.59 box. EB05 will get its own version of that number once supply catches up with the people currently combing shelves for it. The screener and destruction tracker will register the shift when boxes actually start getting opened.
