What surfaced
A fresh card from Extra Booster 5, numbered EB05-022 and named Octopako, circulated through r/OnePieceTCG over the weekend, posted by a community member ahead of the set's wider promotional cycle. Community-surfaced reveals of this kind are routine in the weeks before an Extra Booster lands, and they typically arrive one card at a time rather than as a full list drop.
That matters for how you read it. A single numbered card tells you almost nothing about the pull structure, the alt-art count, or the ceiling of the set. It tells you the numbering is live and the reveal cadence has started.
What the data says: nothing yet
Our EB05 set page currently carries no box market price, no expected value figure, and no EV ratio. There are no matched card rows for Octopako or anything else in the set. That is the correct state for a product with no sealed market and no singles liquidity: we do not publish a number until there is a number.
So the honest read on EB05-022 today is that it is a name, a slot, and a datapoint for the reveal calendar. Anyone assigning it a price is guessing.
The tape that does exist
The rest of the market had a considerably louder week. Edward.Newgate (005) (Manga) from OP17 printed the single most violent move on the board at 956.8 percent to $1,197.71, which is the kind of figure that usually reflects a thin, newly listed manga-art chase rather than steady demand.
Underneath it, the gainers list skewed older: Belo Betty (002) (Alternate Art) at $42.21 on a 76.2 percent week, Miss Doublefinger(Zala) (Full Art) at $27.66 and 71.7 percent, and Marshall.D.Teach (119) at $32.82 on 62.6 percent.
| Card | Price | 7d |
|---|---|---|
| Edward.Newgate (005) (Manga) | $1,197.71 | +956.8% |
| Belo Betty (002) (Alternate Art) | $42.21 | +76.2% |
| Miss Doublefinger(Zala) (Full Art) | $27.66 | +71.7% |
| Marshall.D.Teach (119) | $32.82 | +62.6% |
| Shanks (OP13-028) (SP) | $267.89 | -35.2% |
| Edward.Newgate (040) (TR) | $52.18 | -32.4% |
The downside was concentrated in the same OP17 orbit. Shanks (OP13-028) (SP) shed 35.2 percent to $267.89 and Edward.Newgate (040) (TR) gave back 32.4 percent to $52.18. A set can host both the week's biggest gainer and two of its biggest losers when the chase pool is still repricing.
Sealed context for a new booster
If you want a frame for how EB05 sealed might eventually be judged, the EV board is the reference. OP15 leads it at a 9.76 ratio, with a box market of $250.62 against $2,445 in expected value. OP17 sits at 1.30, boxes at $323.85 against $421. Everything else in the top five is below 1.00, with OP11 at 0.71 and PRB02 at 0.68.
Extra Boosters historically price differently than main sets, so none of those ratios transfer directly. They do establish the range the market is currently willing to pay for sealed upside.
The Terminal take
A reveal without a print run, a rarity tier, or a listing is a calendar event, not a price event. The tradeable information this week is elsewhere: OP17 is producing both the top gainer at 956.8 percent and two of the five worst losers, which is the signature of a set whose chase cards have not settled. EB05 gets a number on this page when it earns one.
