A Reddit deckbuilding debate over OP18's Baroque Works lineup lands on a set whose only hard data so far is a sealed box trading at 2.7 times MSRP.
OP18, the set priced at 2.7 times MSRP before anyone has opened it
The deckbuilding argument arrived first, which is normal for a set that does not legally exist yet. A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG this week asked whether the OP18 Baroque Works big-body is worth the slot at all, given it costs one more than the existing six-drop line, trades rush for a thousand more power and a counter, and awkwardly breaks an odd-number DON curve. Nobody has a tournament result to point at. What they do have is a price.
> $324.03 · OP18 sealed box market price before the November 20 release
Against a $119.76 MSRP for a box of 24, that is a multiple of 2.7 on a product with zero competitive data behind it. The three-month annualized figure on the sealed chart reads -75 percent, which is less a verdict than an artifact: the set sits at -1 months since release, so every print on that curve is speculative paper. OP18 is being traded on card images and forum arguments.
Inside the box
Rip EV lands at $260 against that $324.03 box, an EV ratio of 0.8. Every sealed box in this hobby is negative EV by design, so a number under 1 is the baseline condition, not a scandal. What 0.8 tells you is the gap: the market is paying a premium over the current sum of singles, which is exactly what happens when singles pricing is thin and pre-order singles are placeholders. For comparison, the current EV leaderboard tops out at 1.3.
Single-pack math is uglier: $13.50 a pack on the secondary against a $4.99 MSRP pack.
The Robin SR above is the set's lone card clearing thirty dollars, and it is doing all the heavy lifting in that $260 EV. Flat on both the seven-day and thirty-day reads, with an all-time high equal to its current mark, which is what every pre-release chart looks like.
The graded side
There is nothing here. PSA population total for OP18 is 0, gem rate is unreported, graded premium is unreported, and estimated boxes opened is unreported. That is the honest state of a set whose English release date is November 20, 2026. Anyone quoting you a gem rate on this set is making it up. Check pre-orders for release dates and live sealed pricing instead.
Long-term read
OP18 scores 0 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score, labelled Unproven. That is not a bearish call, it is the mechanical result of having no price history, no graded population, and no completed meta cycle to score against. Every set starts here.
The Robin debate will resolve itself in about three weeks, when people actually cast the thing and find out whether one extra cost and a lost rush matter against a six-DON board. Until then the only testable claim in the whole conversation is the 0.8 ratio, and that one updates daily on the screener.
