A custom card numbered OP18-074 made the rounds on r/ONEPIECETCG this week, a fan-built Counter that hands +4000 to a Leader or Character if you control a Stage costing 5 or more, with a Trigger that returns two Stage cards from trash to hand. It is not a Bandai print. What it does do is put a spotlight on a set that has no secondary market history at all yet, and a box that is already asking nearly three times what Bandai lists it for.

OP18 and the 2.9x problem

OP18 is pre-release. Bandai has the English drop at Nov 20, 2026, with packs at $4.99 and a 24-pack box at $119.76. The market is quoting the box at $349.97, a 2.9 multiple on sticker, which works out to $14.58 a pack for anyone buying sealed today.

Annualized return is not computable here. There is no 3-month figure, no 1-year figure, and no return-from-MSRP figure, because the set has not been released. The chart above shows what a card with a single standing quote and no trade history looks like: flat by definition, not by conviction.

Inside the box

Rip EV sits at $260 against the $349.97 box, an EV ratio of 0.74. Every sealed product is negative EV by design, so a ratio under 1 is the normal state of the world, not a red flag. The useful read is the gap: at 0.74 you are paying roughly a third more than the modelled contents, and on a pre-release set that EV is built on provisional singles prices that can move hard in the first fortnight.

Card Number Price
Nico Robin OP18-031 $29.99
Saint Gunko OP18-060 $9.99
Monkey.D.Luffy (022) OP18-022 $9.99
Monkey.D.Luffy (016) OP18-016 $4.99
Shark Submerge 3 OP18-076 $3.99

The Robin SR carries the file, with the next two names tied at a single-digit quote. Note where the fan design landed in the numbering: two slots away from Shark Submerge 3 at $3.99, the cheapest card on the board and the kind of Stage-adjacent slot that only matters if a deck is built to care. Stage payoffs are historically the thinnest archetype in the game, which is probably why someone had to invent the card themselves.

The graded side

Total PSA population across OP18: zero. No gem rate, no graded premium multiple, no estimate of boxes opened, because no boxes have legally been opened. Every grading metric on this set is a blank cell until submissions clear in 2027.

That matters for the EV figure too. On older sets, graded premiums quietly underpin the chase card's raw price. Here, $260 of modelled contents rests entirely on raw quotes from a market with roughly one listing per card.

Long-term read

The Long-Term Score is 0 out of 10, labelled Unproven. That is not a judgement on the set's contents. It is the mechanical output of having no months since release, no CAGR, no population and no realised trade data to score. Sets earn that number over quarters, not before launch.

For comparison on the EV side, EB05 currently models at a 4.01 ratio, an outlier that makes OP18's 0.74 look ordinary rather than ugly. The full table lives on the EV page, and release timings and live sealed quotes sit on pre-orders.

Until Nov 20, 2026, everything above is a quote, not a price. The fan card, charming as the design is, remains fan art.
