A deckbuilding thread on OP14 Crocodile sent us back to the set data: box at $268.06, EV at $182, and two Crocodile alt arts up roughly 28% in 30 days.
OP14 at 2.2 times MSRP
A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG this week asked a simple question: is OP14 Crocodile just a hard deck to build, and does anything in the incoming EB05 list fix it. The deckbuilding answer is for the players. The market answer is that OP14 sealed has not waited around for the leader to be solved. A box runs $268.06 against a $119.76 MSRP, a 2.2 multiple nine months after release, with a 49% one-year rate and 21% over the trailing three months.
> $268.06 · OP14 sealed box price, nine months after release
The Crocodile cards themselves tell two stories. The OP14-079 alt art leader sits at $33.95, up 4.4% on the week and 28.6% over 30 days, still well under its $80 all-time high. The OP14-120 secret alt art is at $45.77, down 3% on the week but up 27.7% on the month. The plain OP14-120 secret went the other way, off 26.1% in seven days to $7.05. Interest in the archetype is being expressed through the alt arts, not the base print.
Inside the box
Rip EV on OP14 is $182 against that $268.06 box, an ev_ratio of 0.68. Every sealed product is negative EV by design, so the number to read is the gap, not the sign: OP14 returns about two thirds of its sticker in expected singles value, which puts it third on the current EV leaderboard behind OP11 at 0.76 and OP15 at 0.73. Pack cost works out to $11.17.
The ceiling is carried by chase cards that have nothing to do with Crocodile.
For completeness, the top Crocodile in the ecosystem is not a pack pull at all: the CS26-27 Regionals Season 1 promo prints at $1,281.94, down 10.1% on both the week and the month, against a $1,425.35 high.
The graded side
PSA population across OP14 is 53,581 cards at an 88% gem rate, with graded copies carrying a 1.5 multiple over raw on average. Estimated boxes already opened: 308,832. That is a thoroughly ripped set, which is part of why the sealed multiple has held while individual singles swing.
The Crocodile alt arts fit the pattern rather than break it. The 079 leader has 706 graded at an 87% gem rate and a 1.4 PSA 10 multiple; the 120 secret alt art has 701 at 88% and 1.3. The base 120 secret is the outlier, a 4.5 multiple at $32 in a 10, which is what happens when the raw price falls faster than the graded market updates.
Long-term read
OP14 scores 4 out of 10, labelled Moderate. The drivers are visible in the numbers above: strong realized return from MSRP at 203%, offset by heavy print absorption and an EV ratio that depends on a handful of four-figure SPs rather than broad depth.
EB05 is the wildcard the thread was really asking about. It has no box market, no EV, no population, a 0 out of 10 Unproven score, and a $15.07 implied pack cost against the same $119.76 MSRP. Whatever it does to Crocodile lists, the data on it starts at zero.
