A community thread praising OP06 and OP07 SP art sent us back to the tape: OP06 boxes trade at 3.8x MSRP with a 0.4 EV ratio.
A thread on r/ONEPIECETCG this week made the case that the SP treatments in OP06 and OP07 were the high-water mark for the line, and that EB04 revived the full-art concept. Aesthetic arguments are not our department. What is: OP06 sealed product changes hands at $404.62 a box against a $107.76 MSRP, a multiple of 3.8, 31 months after release. Annualized from MSRP that is 66 percent, and the trailing year prints 158 percent.

OP06 and the 3.8x problem
The three-month figure is the one worth sitting with: 25 percent annualized, which is a set still drifting upward rather than melting. Compare OP07, the other half of the thread's argument, at $324.43 a box, a 3x MSRP multiple, and a three-month rate of negative 25 percent. Same art era, two different sealed trajectories.
Inside the box
Rip expected value on OP06 sits at $160 against that $404.62 ask, an EV ratio of 0.4. Every sealed box is negative EV by design, so a sub-1 ratio is normal, not a scandal. What 0.4 tells you is that the sealed premium here is being paid for the lottery ticket and the sealed scarcity, not the average contents. Packs work out to $16.86 apiece.
The Zoro manga SEC above carries the entire chase ceiling. It is up 0.4 percent on the week and 0.4 percent on the month, which the 90-day chart shows as a flat line rather than a trend, with an all-time high of $2,620 still overhead. The SP tier the Reddit thread was praising is where the actual liquidity lives: Ms. All Sunday is off 7.6 percent in seven days and 11.9 percent in 30, well under its $353.46 peak. O-Nami (SP) at $459.58 tops the OP07 SP side.
The graded side
PSA has certified 39,881 OP06 cards at a 90 percent gem rate, and graded copies carry a 1.7x premium over raw. The Zoro alone accounts for 3,074 of those submissions, also at 90 percent gem, with a PSA 10 at $4,410, a 1.8 multiple on raw.
The destruction math is the sobering part: roughly 230,760 OP06 boxes are estimated to have been opened already. OP07 is at 229,440 with 33,684 graded and a thinner 1.4x graded premium. Full numbers live on the destruction page.
Long-term read
OP06 scores 5 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score, labeled Moderate. The drivers are visible in the lines above: a strong MSRP multiple and a credible single-card ceiling, offset by a 0.4 EV ratio and a supply figure north of 230,000 boxes cracked. OP07 scores 3 out of 10, Unproven, with a 164 percent trailing year undercut by that negative three-month rate.
Nostalgia for an art era is not a price signal. If you want to see which sets actually return the most per dollar of box, the EV board and the screener rank them.
