A community thread asking which decks EB05 revived lands in the same week the set posts a 1.24 EV ratio and a zero graded population.
Players on r/ONEPIECETCG spent the weekend cataloguing which archetypes the EB05 extra booster actually moved: Buggy, Kuzan, Impel Down Luffy, and the Red/Green Luffy build everyone already agreed was the headline winner. That is a deck-building conversation, but it has a price tape attached, and the tape for EB05 is unusually loud for a set that is barely out of the shrink.
> $268.99 · sealed box market price in EB05's first weeks on shelf
EB05 at 2.2x MSRP
The box carries an MSRP of $119.76 and trades at a 2.2x multiple to it. That works out to $11.21 per pack for anyone buying sealed at market rather than at allocation. The set is logged at 0 months since release, so there is no 3-month or 1-year growth figure yet; the chart above is a release-window chart, not a trend.
Extra boosters price this way for a structural reason. Print runs are shorter than mainline sets, the chase pool is narrow, and demand arrives from constructed players rather than collectors first. Deck revival chatter is exactly the demand signal that keeps that 2.2x intact.
Inside the box
Rip EV sits at $333 against the $268.99 box, an EV ratio of 1.24. Normally we spend this paragraph explaining that every box is negative EV by design and that a ratio under 1 is the healthy, expected state. EB05 is the exception on the board right now, and it leads our box EV table ahead of OP17 at 0.88 and OP11 at 0.77.
Treat that above-1 reading with suspicion rather than excitement. Release-week singles pricing is thin, top-end asks have not been tested by supply, and EV computed off unsettled chase prices tends to drift down as boxes get opened.
The Robin alt art is the load-bearing card in that EV number and has already printed an all-time high of $1,500, meaning it has come off its peak. The Nami gold stamp, by contrast, is sitting exactly at its own all-time high.
The graded side
Total PSA population across EB05: zero. No gem rate, no graded premium multiple, no estimate of boxes destroyed. That is normal for a set with a 0-month age, but it matters for how you read the EV figure, because none of the chase prices above have been validated by a graded market yet.
It also means the destruction tracker has nothing to say here for a few months. The first real supply read on EB05 will come when submissions start clearing.
Long-term read
Our Long-Term Score for EB05 is 1 out of 10, labelled Unproven. That is not a judgment on the cards. It is arithmetic: the model wants price history, a graded population, and a destruction estimate, and EB05 currently supplies none of the three.
So the honest state of play is a set priced well above MSRP, with an EV ratio that flatters it, a graded population of zero, and a Reddit thread full of players figuring out whether Buggy and Kuzan are actually back. The deck answers will arrive before the price answers do. Track the rest of the board on the screener.
