Bandai's official FAQ for EB-05 started circulating through the collector community this week, picked up and passed around on r/OnePieceTCG after it went live. It is the usual post-release housekeeping: timing windows, trigger interactions, and the edge cases that judges were already fielding at locals. Rulings documents rarely move a whole set on their own, but they do settle which of a new set's headliners are actually playable as written, and EB-05 is young enough that nothing about it is settled.

> $326.41 · current market price for one sealed EB-05 box

EB05 and the 2.7x it is carrying

A box of EB05 trades at $326.41 against an MSRP of $119.76. That is a 2.7x multiple on sticker, which is a heavy number for a product with months_since_release sitting at 0. Effective cost per pack is $13.60.

There is no annualized return to quote here. The set has no 3-month or 1-year CAGR on file and no CAGR from MSRP, because there is not enough elapsed time to compute one. The chart above is a few weeks of price discovery, not a trend.

Inside the box

Expected value on a rip comes to $313 against that $326.41 box price, an EV ratio of 0.96. Every sealed product is negative EV by design, so a ratio under 1 is the normal state of the world, not a red flag. What 0.96 does say is that EB-05 is currently one of the tighter gaps on the board: for comparison, the leaders table on our EV page runs from OP11 at 0.76 down to EB03 at 0.60.

The chase list is flat at the top, which is part of why the ratio sits where it does.

Card Number Price
Nico Robin (016) EB05-016 $29.99
Yamato EB05-046 $24.99
Alvida EB05-021 $24.99
Jewelry Bonney EB05-001 $24.99
Nico Robin (010) EB05-010 $9.99

Three cards tied at $24.99 and a top card at $29.99 means no single pull is carrying the box. Nico Robin (016) is unchanged over seven days and sitting at its all-time high of $29.99, which is a fancy way of saying it has not traded below where it opened. Alvida is also flat on the week at its own high mark.

The graded side

There is nothing here yet. PSA population for EB-05 is 0 across the set, which means no gem rate, no graded premium multiple, and no estimated boxes opened to back into. Submissions take time, and for a set this new the grading market has not started reporting.

That absence matters for reading the rulings news. When an FAQ clarifies that a card does what players hoped, demand usually shows up first in raw singles, then in graded supply months later. Right now only the first channel exists.

Long-term read

EB-05 scores 0 out of 10 on our Long-Term Score, labeled Unproven. That is not a judgment on the cards. The score is driven by elapsed time, realized returns, grading data, and price stability, and EB-05 currently supplies none of those inputs. Any set at zero months old lands in the same bucket.

What a rulings FAQ does is remove one source of uncertainty from the playable side of the set, which is the variable most likely to move those $24.99 and $29.99 prints first. The rest, pop reports, gem rates, and an actual multi-month price series, arrives on its own schedule. Until then, run the set through the screener alongside the rest of the board and treat the 2.7x as what it is: a number with no history behind it.
