A Full EB05 Case With No SPs Puts the $1,500 Nico Robin in Focus

A collector reported opening a sealed EB05 case with zero SPs and no alternate art secret, and the set's top card is priced at $1,500 for a reason.

A collector posting on r/ONEPIECETCG said they saved up for a sealed EB05 case, opened the whole thing, and came away with no SPs and no alternate art secret rare. The thread read less like a brag and more like a wake, and the replies turned quickly to print quality and collation. Whether the case is a genuine packing error or the ugly tail of a thin pull rate, the arithmetic underneath it is the same: this set hides almost all of its value in a handful of cards, and the card above is the biggest of them.

Nico Robin (EB05-010) and the $1,500 ceiling

Nico Robin (010) (Super Leader Alternate Art) is the top line in EB05 and currently sits at its all time high, which is also its only high: the set is zero months past release, so the chart above is a stub rather than a history. There is no seven day or thirty day print to quote yet, because there is not yet enough tape to compute one.

That is the context for a case yielding none of this. The hit rate is low enough that the expected value of a box is carried by outcomes most buyers will never see.

Raw against the slab

There is no graded market here at all. PSA population across EB05 stands at zero, which means no PSA 10 comparable, no gem rate, and no graded premium multiple to measure the raw price against.

For a card at this level that is unusual only because of timing. Submissions take months, and the set is brand new. Until slabs exist, the raw number is the entire market, and the destruction and population tracker has nothing to show for this set yet.

The rest of the set

Below Robin, EB05's top end is dense rather than top heavy. Shirahoshi (Manga) at $1,203.77 and Boa Hancock (ST17-004) (SP) at $1,198.99 are effectively tied, with Nami (OP01-016) (SP) at $987 and Vinsmoke Reiju (SP) at $644.37 filling out the ladder.

Metric EB05
Box market $257.60
Box EV $460
EV ratio 1.78
MSRP $119.76
MSRP multiple 2.2
Cost per pack $10.73

That 1.78 ratio makes EB05 the current leader on the EV board, and it is the number doing the work in every "open a case" argument on social media right now. It is also a modelled average, not a promise. The EV is built from exactly the cards the Reddit poster did not pull, which is the whole point: one case is not a sample, and a secondary box price at 2.2 times MSRP already prices in the upside.

Where this leaves it

EB05 carries a Long-Term Score of 1 out of 10, labelled Unproven, which is what every set gets at zero months old. Nothing about one reported case changes the data, but it does illustrate the shape of it: a $257.60 box against a top card five to six times that, with everything in between concentrated in a few hundred dollar SPs.

The graded market will arrive and the chart will fill in. Until then, the raw price on EB05-010 and the screener are the only reads available.
